We only use high quality spruce for our Contract wood flooring which offers a low thermal resistance, perfect for installation over underfloor heating.
Tongue & Grooved
Not all tongue and groove joints are the same, ours has been refined over decades to provide easy installation and a positive fit.
Micro Bevelled
Our Contract floors are machined with a 1mm micro bevel, just enough to define every plank whilst keeping the floor easy to clean.
Fixed Lengths
Supplied in packs containing 6 boards with boards varying in length from 1800mm to 2400mm. Occassional split boards - minimium of 90% >1800mm.
Hardwax Oil Finish

Electric & Water UFH

FSC Certified
All our raw materials are sourced from sustainably managed forests and accredited by FSC™.
Contract Production
The Spruce core is also solely sourced from FSC™ certified Croatian forests ensuring sustainability as well as encouraging the regeneration and correct management of the softwood forests.
The moisture content of all raw materials is monitored throughout the production process, as well as being constantly monitored during the initial drying process in the latest technologically advanced kiln-dryers, in order to achieve the desired moisture level required for the flooring components. It is critical that the moisture content of all 3 layers of spruce core engineered flooring is in equilibrium to not only ensure its stability but also to safeguard its suitability for installation over both electric and water based underfloor heating.
The entire production process from the initial sawmilling of freshly felled logs, primary kilning and all laminating and machining processes to produce our finished Contract range flooring is all undertaken by our partner, ensuring total quality control throughout.
Our Contract top layers are cold pressed onto the spruce core, using a combination of PVAc and PU adhesives both of which are 100% formaldehyde-free. This adhesive system provides a strong reliable bond for the lifetime of the floor.
After the pressing all open defects are filled. Prior to filling, each open defect is inspected and if needed, loose particles and ingrown bark are removed to ensure an optimal bonding of the filler. The filler is a mix of saw-dust and a 2-component glue, which can be pigmented and bonds extremely well, is very hard, and withstands the toughest circumstances.

Contract Grade
We cannot accept rejection of a complete floor based on a small number of boards being outside the grading parameters and we strongly advise that our floors are installed by a professional wood flooring installer who will remove any defects within the normal wastage allowance.
Country Grade
Our Contract country grade wood floors are designed to showcase the full natural
variation and characteristics of European Oak.
With a diverse range of natural tones and a lively combination of large and small knots, these floors are perfect for busy family homes and commercial projects alike.
Wood Flooring Finishes
The Saicos Hardwax oil system is unique in providing an open pore surface, allowing the wood to breathe thereby reducing the natural movement of wood. The Saicos Hardwax Oil also penetrates deep into the pores of the wood producing a hard wearing, water and dirt repellent surface which is easy to clean.
